Previous to this role, Jayasankar was an mba intern at IBM, partner at Zetta Technologies, senior consultant at Oracle Corp and senior software engineer at Patni Computer Systems.
Jay has a Computer Science and Engineering degree from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram and an MBA from Universität St.Gallen
about me - real stuff
I was born in September 30, 1981 in Thiruvananthapuram, India.
My father used to work for the Accountant General's Office of the Government of India. Retired a few years ago. He was the first person to ever go to college from his family. My mother is a homemaker and I have an elder sister who has a lot of degrees and is now a teacher.
I lived in Trivandrum right till the end of my engineering in 2003. I did my primary schooling in a religious hindu school - Chinmaya Vidyalaya. After that went to a catholic convent - Christ Nagar till college.
After that went to Govt. Arts College. Mine was the last year of the so called 'Pre-degree'. Then went to College of Engineering, Trivandrum aka CET, and did a Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering.
I like to think of myself as a generalist. Someone who is curious about the everything. I spend a lot of time following politics, business and technology. I love technology. I am not a geek or a suit but is something in between.
